About this circuit
Drives ADA4932 Fully Differential Amplifier from a single-ended sine source and compares the balanced OUT+/OUT- response.
Circuit notes
ADA4932 Fully Differential Amplifier Single-Ended to Differential Driver
Application
This circuit shows ADA4932 Fully Differential Amplifier converting a grounded single-ended sine input into a balanced differential output pair. It is a practical starting point for ADC drivers, line drivers, and other circuits that need equal-and-opposite output swings.
Design Context
The input source drives IN+ through RGP while IN- is referenced through the matched RGN resistor. RFP and RFN close the differential feedback paths from the output sense pins back to the inputs. V+ and V- provide split supplies, and VOCM sets the output common-mode target.
Expected Behavior
Vin is a small single-ended sine wave. Vout+ and Vout- should swing in opposite directions around the VOCM level, making the differential signal easy to compare on the chart.
Key Values
- Input: 100 mV, 1 kHz sine wave.
- Input resistors: 1 kOhm matched pair.
- Feedback resistors: 1 kOhm matched pair.
- Supplies: +5 V and -5 V.
- VOCM: 0 V.
Suggested Experiments
- Increase the input amplitude and watch the differential output swing grow.
- Change VOCM to shift both outputs together without changing their differential relationship.
- Change RFP and RFN together to explore closed-loop gain.
Featured Component
ADA4932 Fully Differential Amplifier is the fully differential amplifier. Its grouped IN+/IN-, OUT+/OUT-, and feedback-sense pins make the signal pairing visible in the schematic.
