About this circuit
Route a 5 V supply to one of 4 independently loaded output channels by clicking the rotary selector.
Circuit notes
Rotary Selector: 4 Output Channels
Route a 5 V supply to one of 4 independently loaded output channels by clicking the rotary selector.
Try it
Click SW1 to advance through positions 1–4. The final position wraps to 1. The visible blade and chart identify the selected output.
Expected behavior
Only the selected channel is near 5 V; all other channels remain near 0 V. Each output has its own 1 kΩ load, so the selected branch draws approximately 5 mA. Try changing the selected load to see that the other outputs remain isolated.
How it works
The voltage probes measure the outputs relative to the common supply return. Probe colors match the chart traces. These idealized contacts change without bounce or transfer delay. Closed contacts use a small finite resistance; open contacts use a large finite resistance to keep the live simulation stable.
