About this circuit

Set 4 independent configuration inputs with a clickable DIP switch bank and 1 kΩ pull-down loads.

Circuit notes

DIP Switch Bank: 4 Configuration Inputs

Set 4 independent configuration inputs with a clickable DIP switch bank and 1 kΩ pull-down loads.

Try it

Click each individual lever in SW1 to change its configuration bit. Each contact operates independently. Odd-numbered switches start on, giving 0101 (decimal 5) when switch 1 is the least-significant bit.

Expected behavior

A closed switch connects its output to the 5 V rail. An open switch lets the 1 kΩ pull-down hold its output near 0 V. Each on bit draws approximately 5 mA. Try all-off, all-on, and alternating patterns while watching the separate traces.

How it works

The voltage probes measure the outputs relative to the common supply return. Probe colors match the chart traces. These idealized contacts change without bounce or transfer delay. Closed contacts use a small finite resistance; open contacts use a large finite resistance to keep the live simulation stable.
