SPST Double-Break LED Control

Application

The closed double-break switch controls a current-limited LED from a 5 V supply.

Schematic Organization

The 5 V supply is on the left. The featured switch is centered in the signal path. The resistor and LED load are on the right with the return below.

Expected Behavior

With State set to closed, the LED branch conducts; changing State to open interrupts the load current.

Suggested Experiments

Toggle State between open and closed or change Ron and Roff to explore nonideal switch behavior.
