About this component

Compact educational four-bit ADC that continuously samples VIN with zero latency and floor-quantizes it into unipolar straight binary (D0 LSB, D3 MSB). One LSB is VREF/16; inputs at or below 0 V saturate to 0000 and inputs at or above VREF saturate to 1111. This abstraction intentionally has no sample-and-hold, clock, aperture, conversion delay, noise, or metastability.

ParameterNameDescriptionDefault

VREF

Reference voltage

Positive full-scale reference. One ADC code bin (LSB) is Reference voltage divided by 16.

5 V

VHIGH

High output voltage

Voltage driven on each code output when that straight-binary bit is high.
