About this component

Single-coil latching SPDT relay. A positive coil pulse sets the contact, a reverse pulse resets it, and either position is held with no coil power. Each simulation starts with COM connected to NC.

Parameters

Basic settings
6 parameters
ParameterNameDescriptionDefault

COILRESISTANCE

Coil resistance

Series resistance of the coil. Together with coil inductance, sets coil current and its rise time.

125 Ω

COILINDUCTANCE

Coil inductance

Series inductance of the coil; the coil time constant is inductance divided by resistance.

50m H

SETCURRENT

Set current

Positive current from Coil+ to Coil− required to latch COM to NO. Must be positive.

20m A

RESETCURRENT

Reset current

Magnitude of reverse coil current required to latch COM to NC. Must be positive.

20m A

ONRESISTANCE

Contact on resistance

Resistance of the selected contact path.

0.1 Ω

OFFRESISTANCE

Contact off resistance

Leakage resistance of the unselected contact path; keep greater than on resistance.

1e9 Ω

Pins

Pins
5 pins
NumberNameDescription

1

Coil+

Coil terminal: positive current into this pin sets COM to NO; reverse current resets COM to NC.

2

Coil−

Coil return for set pulses; positive current into this pin resets COM to NC.

3

COM

Common terminal of the electrically isolated changeover contact.

4

NO

Connected to COM after a set pulse, including when coil current returns to zero.

5

NC

Connected to COM at the start of each run and after a reset pulse.
