About this component

A latching relay with separate, electrically isolated SET and RESET windings and one changeover contact set. A positive current pulse in either winding selects its corresponding state, which remains selected after coil current stops. Each simulation starts reset. Simultaneous operating pulses use reset priority.

Parameters

Basic settings
6 parameters
ParameterNameDescriptionDefault

SETCOILRESISTANCE

Set coil resistance

Series resistance of the isolated SET winding.

125 Ω

SETCOILINDUCTANCE

Set coil inductance

Series inductance of the SET winding; its time constant is inductance divided by resistance.

50m H

RESETCOILRESISTANCE

Reset coil resistance

Series resistance of the isolated RESET winding.

125 Ω

RESETCOILINDUCTANCE

Reset coil inductance

Series inductance of the RESET winding; its time constant is inductance divided by resistance.

50m H

SETCURRENT

Set current

Positive SET+ to SET− current that selects NO. Must be positive.

20m A

RESETCURRENT

Reset current

Positive RESET+ to RESET− current that selects NC. Reset has priority when both windings operate. Must be positive.

20m A

ONRESISTANCE

Contact on resistance

Resistance of each selected contact path.

0.1 Ω

OFFRESISTANCE

Contact off resistance

Resistance of each open contact path. Keep greater than the on resistance.

1e9 Ω

Pins

Pins
7 pins
NumberNameDescription

1

SET+

Positive terminal of the SET winding. Sufficient positive current selects NO.

2

SET−

Return terminal of the isolated SET winding.

3

RESET+

Positive terminal of the RESET winding. Sufficient positive current selects NC, with reset priority.

4

RESET−

Return terminal of the isolated RESET winding.

5

COM

Common terminal of the electrically isolated changeover contact.

6

NO

Connected to COM in the set state, including with both coil currents at zero.

7

NC

Connected to COM after reset and at the start of each simulation.
