How practical differentiator works

C1 differentiates at low frequencies. R1 limits the input current and high-frequency gain. C2 in parallel with feedback resistor R2 adds a second roll-off, so the circuit does not amplify unlimited high-frequency noise.

H(s)=−sR2C1(1+sR1C1)(1+sR2C2)H(s)=\frac{-sR_2C_1}{(1+sR_1C_1)(1+sR_2C_2)}

Ideal op-amp equations with ±15 V supplies. The simulated generic op amp has finite bandwidth and output limits. Keep signal levels within its linear range.
